Melinda Peterson's Adventures in Washington DC - Day 3

Melinda Peterson's Adventures in Washington DC - Day 3.  Today was a day of food, fun, parties and more food.  There was plenty of alcohol too, but since I don't drink, I will tell you about the other stuff I did today.

Woke up late and ate breakfast on the run (a nice fruit medley made by my B&B hosts, Laura & Raymond).  I made it to the Fair Housing Class, which turned out to be a typical "let me scare the hibbie jibbies out of you" class.  Bottom line is, don't discriminate and you won't get into trouble :)

Next on the agenda was the RESPA rules class entitled; "Stop pulling your hair out."  At that point in the day, I felt more like yawning than pulling my hair out.  I made a dash for the door when the instructor started telling bad blonde jokes.  Don't guys know that bad blonde jokes aren't funny?!

Supra e-key NAR Party in Washington DC

The joke was on me at the end of the day.  There were two parties to attend... Rapattoni MLS and Supra (the party of all parties... now we know what they are doing with all our money :)  On the way to the Supra party, I saw a large gathering of Realtors in a huge meeting room with lots of food, drinks and music.  I helped myself to a nice plate of goodies and stood around looking for my Realtor friends... no one in site.  Shortly thereafter, I received a text from one of my friends saying; "Hey, we are at the Omni at the Supra party, come on down."  Oops!  I just realized that I crashed somebody's party and ate their food.  It sure was good!

Melinda...

It sounds like a lot of fun and why in the world would a RESPA instructor tell blonde jokes?

Hi there,

You mean there wasn't anything more "meaningful" to share at the session on RESPA? If not, then why bother with the session in the first place?

Melinda:

The parties sound like great fun and this is a good way to meet and connect with others.  I hope you are also able to learn something interesting for your time spent there.

Sounds like you are having a great time, was the food at the Supra better or worse than the party you crashed. Have fun and keep us informed I am enjoying your posts...

Lynda - If there was something "meaningful" to report about the RESPA class, I certainly would have done so. I "bothered" going to the class because I expected to learn something about a very important subject. Instead, I had to listen to some bad jokes!
