Melinda Peterson's Adventures in Washington DC - Day 2. Today, I woke up to sunshine in Washington DC, but the weather quickly turned to clouds and rain. Coming from Oregon, I planned ahead and brought my umbrella. I shared an early morning breakfast with my B&B hosts/owners, Laura & Raymond Saba (who are very nice folks), and then it was off to the NAR Conference at the Marriott Wardman Hotel.
I have to say that I am not fond of meetings, so it difficult to spend 8 continuous hours indoors. Luckily, the topics were very intriguing and I managed to strike up an interesting conversation with some RE/MAX Brokers from Wisconsin. We had a great time conversing about our local markets. It was interesting to note how similar our markets are, yet we are so far away.
Today, I will leave you with a few pics of my rooms here at the Embassy Circle Guest House. Stay tuned for more of Melinda Peterson's Adventures in Washington DC!

Hope you enjoy the conference... you will have to let us know what you are learning about.
Have a blast and come back with lots of stuff.
Thanks in advance for the future share of your experience in both my old hometown - Washington DC and your willingness to report what is going on in those 8 hour meetings.
Wow what a beautiful room. I think I'd just sleep in and miss the early morning sessions lol.
Enjoy the conference, I have several friends who will be there!
Very cool pictures. Very cool house. Go get em M!
Shows even better on the inside than on the very cool outside.
Reminds me of some people.
An Oregonian carrying an umbrella? Surely you jest? Tell us it isn't true.
Melinda, I am sorry about the weather, usually this is a great time of year for DC weather. I along with you do not like meetings, there is never a good time for a meeting....have a great time and I will be looking for your coming posts.
Where's the wet bar? I don't see a wet bar in that room of yours!!! But that room does look like a comfy "home" away from home!
