Pulling a Late-Nighter!

Pulling a Late-Nighter!Pulling a Late-Nighter!  Tonight, I am stuck at the office sorting through piles of paperwork.  I have already stopped once for dinner, and some occasional comments on Active Rain.  I just can't seem to focus on the task at hand.

Do you ever feel buried in mounds of paperwork?  Why do we need all this paper anyway!  Are your contracts getting longer each year?  It seems like there is always one more piece of paper to process on every deal.  And, the fact that we must store these files for 6 years for the Agency... Arghhhh!

Okay, enough ranting.  I am off to tackle some more piles.  For those of you who are relaxing on the sofa with a warm cup of tea and perhaps a slice of chocolate cake for dessert.... hhhhhmmmm, I will be sitting here pulling a late-nighter and thinking of you!

31 Flavors is sounding pretty good right now!  Focus!

Hey Melinda-

I am a great believer in a slice of cake to get a gal through the day. On the plus side of all that clearing.  Is there any better feeling than a full wastebasket or shredder and a clear desk?

Keep at it!

I don't think you had enough for dinner lol.  You sound like you are still hungry.  Well I'm eating yogurt with fruit.  Does that count?  The chocolate cake does sound good though.

I hate the paperwork also and you are right.  There are more and more forms to sign to COA.  Hope you get home soon.

Sounds like you're doing short sales.  It's always a ton of paperwork.

Buring the midnight oil, eh?  Sometimes that is what it takes.  I am uploading 3 videos to YouTube (et. al.) after editing what i shot today.  Takes hours to edit and upload a 5 minute video.  YAWN!!!

Melinda, look at paperwork as a sign of prosperity.  No paperwork, no business.  It must be lonely at the top!

Nope! No cake for me- pulling an all-nighter as well, but in hopes that tomorrow will be easier!

I just had a slice of cake like that...sans the berries.

It won't help me focus.

Good morning Melinda,

Sometimes that is the only way to sort through things and find your mind again! Good for you for staying focused and weeding through your paperwork!

Melinda:

The paperwork never ends but these kinds of hours can be detrimental to the figure.  Keep a celery stalk handy...

Melinda ~ I hope you didn't work too late last night.  I didn't get any dessert.  That chocolate cake looks very tempting, as I haven't eaten lunch yet!

Melinda I more often than not pull the day shift and the night shift and the weekend shift. There are just not enough hours in the day for me to get done all of my to do's! I hate paper so I keep it all on my computer, less mess on my desk and out of sight for me is better otherwise, I try to work on everything a the same time which means.. well you know :) a cake break is good for the soul!
