Southern Oregon Living: What's in Your Coffee?

What's in Your Coffee?

What's in Your Coffee? What's in Your Coffee?  An interesting blog called "Putting Weird Things in Coffee" by a Canadian grad student has hit the Internet.  He has experimented with putting the most unlikely ingredients in his coffee, such as smoked salmon cream cheese, bacon, and cheese bread to name a few.

You might ask, why in the world would anyone combine such strange ingredients in their morning cup of joe.  The grad student explains, (as he puts it) "I drink coffee every day, but get bored with the same old cream and sugar."

Perhaps boredom can be the catalyst for ingenuity and creativity.  If so, perhaps we should all consider giving it a try.  So I ask, what's in your coffee?

I can tell you for sure there will NEVER be smoked salmon cream cheese in my coffee! I will go as far as Kahlua or Irish Coffee. That is about as risque as I will get-

Hi Melinda-

Heavy whipping cream is my addition.  How can you go wrong?

Melinda,

I've heard about egg or fruit peels in coffee, but cheese and salmon? Some things just don't go together! I prefer my coffee black, with a little sweetener.

I've heard of putting cheese in hot chocolate, but coffee?  Very interesting.

Well, that's an interesting take on the morning cuppa joe! I get bored easily, too . . . but not that bored, I guess. I'm a milk and sugar girl.
