This Just Doesn't Happen In Grants Pass Oregon!

Here is a picture of a cup of hot coffee sitting on a sheet of ice in a Byrneville pool.  The photo was submitted by Angie Baker for NorthEscambia.com.  Angie Baker said; "I sat my hot coffee cup onto the frozen water of the pool and was able to take a photo without the cup even falling through." (According to Angie, the dark objects at the bottom of the pool are leaves).

I wondered where Byrneville was so I Googled it.  It's hard to believe that we are talking about Byrneville, Florida!  You just wouldn't see this kind of thing happen in Grants Pass Oregon!  Enjoy the climate, it's a great time to buy a home in Grants Pass, Oregon.

That is wild!  Are you right on the coast, Melinda, and what is your elevation at Grant's Pass?

Yikes, hope it warms up soon as I have a vacation planned there in March...

Bruce ~  Elevation in Grants Pass is approx. 960 ft and we are 80 miles from the Oregon coast.

Mary ~ Perhaps you should take some bermuda shorts and a winter coat!

Melinda,  It sure has been cold down here, I want an early spring!  I took pics this morning of the snow and posted it.  I prefer to photograph flowers thank you!

I would never have guessed, Florida.  The world is upside down right now.

Melinda...

It is so cold here in the Southeast, but we are getting a warming trend later in the week!

I'm with Jane...I would absolutely not have guessed Florida. I'm so glad I don't have a "warm" vacation planned there this weekend!

Hi Melinda, yes we are really enjoying the temps these days up here in the Woodinville (Seattle) area, but I'm sure our day will come!

Melinda, so where to go for vacation???   I'm not sure where I'll go if it ever snows in Aruba!

We've had below freezing weather here in Denver for about a week now. The sun comes out and it looks nice but the temperature is quite cold. I hope it starts to warm up soon.

Oh, we get that stuff in Metro Portland!  Two years ago starting at 11:00 a.m. and lasting until 1:00 a.m. it rained ice.  There was 3 days of that.  My 105 lb dog walked on the ice rink in the back yard (everything was an ice rink) and didn't even cracked the ice!

What's going on in this crazy climate world?  Last year we had a drought, two weeks ago I was stuck in a snow storm in Redding, pools freezing over in Florida, and today... my office shook from an earthquake in Eureka!  What's with that?
