Southern Oregon Living: Time for Reflection

Time for Reflection

InspirationAs 2009 quickly draws to a close, today offers a special time for reflection.  Taking time to count our blessings and consider our failures, creates a wonderful opportunity for reflection and personal growth.

Any time you reach for new heights personally or professionally, it can be painful.  How you handle change depends greatly upon where you set your mind.  You can be discouraged or inspired by change, it's a choice.

As we head into another challenging year, it's important to prepare our minds and renew our spirit in a positive way.  One of the best ways that I've found to reflect upon my blessings and the opportunities before me is to view this special video from Power of Attitude.  I hope you enjoy the video and remember to take time for reflection.  May you be blessed in the coming year with much success.  Happy 2010!

This is the perfect time to not only reflect on what has happened in the past year (both personal and business milestones) but also to decide what you want to accomplish in the year to come. Too many people approach the new year with the attitude of "I'd like such and such to happen next year" but without a clear method of achieving that goal.  As a result, the year will end without much progress being made toward that goal.

Think about where you've been.  Think about where you'd like to go.  Then write out the necessary steps to get there!  With a positive attitude and a desire to succeed, you can accomplish your goals!

I wish the best to you in 2010 also!

Melinda, thanks for the advice and the video link.  It's going to be increasingly important to have a positive focus, that's for sure.

I like Abraham Lincoln's quote, "You are just about as happy as you make up your mind you are going to be."
