Southern Oregon Living: Leave Your Problems at the Door!

Leave Your Problems at the Door!

Leave Your Problems at the Door!

Grants Pass Oregon Real Estate Cafe

I'm not exactly sure what prompted me to tilt my shoes up against the door at the end of the day.  I guess my brain was on auto-pilot when I walked in the door.  I've never done this sort of thing before.  Several hours later, I noticed my shoes leaning up against the door and I thought, how strange is that.  Being the only one home, I knew I must have done it, but couldn't remember doing so.  I laughed.  I thought I would snap a picture and post it for all of you, so you could have a laugh too!  Have you ever done anything weird like that?

Perhaps this strange act is a metaphor for leaving your problems at the door!

I think they were anxious to go out to a listing appointment, LOL. What a funny thing to do. Was it raining today?

HI Melinda - Isn't it funny the things we do when we're on autopilot?  Every now and then I find that I've done something I didn't consciously do - nothing bad, thank goodness!

There must be something very deep and darkly revealing about this behavior.   Is there something or some person out there you don't want inside?

It looks like they are trying to get out the door to go for a brisk walk or escaping.

I am a huge advocate of this I am just not as good at it as I would like to be.

Melinda, If it worked, keep doing it :)  I actually have something that "spins" by my front door to remind me to leave any cares outside.

You must be wishing you were in Hawaii.  It's customary to take your shoes off when entering homes here, but you don't need to prop them up like that!

Hello All - I hope you enjoyed my little faux paus.  We have practiced the custom of taking our shoes off upon entering our home for 25+ years.  But, I have never (mindlessly) propped them up against the door like this :)
