Where's Your Humanity?

Where's Your Humanity?  I found mine this week when I had the honorable pleasure of volunteering for Habitat for Humanity at NAR's Convention in Anaheim, California.  A pleasure indeed!

I've always been pretty good at building things.  When I was a little girl, I used to play with Lincoln Logs instead of Barbies.  I loved building 'play' houses... it felt good to create something with my hands.  Fortunately for Habitat for Humanity, my childhood creations paved the way for building dreams... one home at a time

I was fortunate to be part of a team of REALTORS® who built three homes for Habitat for Humanity in Orange County, CA.  t felt good to wear the blue shirt with the REALTOR® logo on the back while pounding away with our hammers.  There was enormous pride in the room when we saw our finished 'framed' houses being raised.  Definitely a teary-eyed moment.

It's a good feeling to give back.  Even better when you can give back to a profession that's been, frankly, wild and crazy these past few years.  When you put your heart and soul into something like Habitat for Humanity... passion begins and dreams just happen!
