Oh No You Won't! I don't think so! If you do, I'm out of here! These were all of the things I was thinking tonight as I was dining at my favorite mexican restaurant in Grants Pass, Oregon.
Each week, I treat myself and a friend to chicken fajitas at one of my favorite mexican restaurants in Grants Pass. And like clockwork, we order the same thing every time. My friend never finishes her meal, so she always ends up taking home the leftovers in a container. In addition to a "doggy bag," my friend asked for a container for her leftover salsa. The waitress obliged.
Upon receiving the bill, another waiter stated that we would have to charge extra for the salsa my friend was taking home. I thought he was kidding, so I joked around. But, when I received the look that could kill, I quickly got the picture that he wasn't kidding. I said; "Are you serious, you are going to charge us for salsa that we have already eaten?" (Normally they throw it out with all the other stuff on your plate after you leave). But, he was dead serious!
So, that's when I thought... Oh No You Won't! I don't think so! If you do, I'm out of here!
Now, I don't know about you, but if I were this "favorite" mexican restaurant in Grants Pass Oregon, I would think twice about charging a very "regular" customer for taking home the leftover salsa that is already on the table and has been eaten! If not, perhaps the "other" mexican restaurant across the street could use a few new customers!
