"Looking like a Fool with Your Pants on the Ground"is a catchy tune sung by 'General' Larry Platt, a 62 yr-old contestant, on American Idol's' 13th audition episode. 'General' Larry Platt (a self- proclaimed 'General' of the civil rights movement) sang "Pants on the Ground" for American Idol Judges while break dancing and strutting his stuff.
While the 'General' didn't make it past the audition, his song; "Pants on the Ground" has already gone viral on YouTube. 'Pants on the Ground' had so many Tweets and hits on YouTube within the first few days since it aired on American Idol, that CNN has said it is the first viral video of 2010. Even Brett Favre and his teammates sang the tune after their victory game on Sunday.
There is something we can learn from Larry Platt's approach to social media marketing. The old adage, Keep It Simple Sweetie (The KISS Principle). Perhaps a simple message, packaged with a creative approach, and delivered in a 'down to earth' fashion could move mountains of real estate.
