Note To Self - Don't Forget to Fill the Pitcher

Don't Forget To Fill The Pitcher - Mel PetersonMy head's under water, but I'm breathing fine.  It's been a fast and furious summer and it feels like Fall crept in like a thief in the night.  I blinked for a moment and almost missed the trees changing their colorful hue.  Where does the time go?

After devoting myself to several worthy projects, I took some much needed time off to unplug from the noise and constant tugging of my coat tails.  I've been working at a frenzied pace, only to discover that my vessel was empty and needing replenishment.

When you pour yourself into others, and do little to refill your reserves, the well runs dry and your lips become parched.  Guilty as charged.  I'm not sure where my Wonder Woman work ethic comes from... perhaps there's a hidden crack in the bottom of my pitcher ;-)

It's impossible to maintain a crazy pace without something taking 2nd place.  Peace of mind and playfulness require persistent inventory.  When happiness falls in short supply, it can lead to a life of mediocrity and status quo.  Say it ain't so!

Whether you're business is flourishing or floundering... now is the perfect time of year to start planning for next year's bucket list.  Surely it should include a Note to Self - Don't Forget to Fill The Pitcher!
